Dave Harrison, Programming Director

Dave Harrison is the Program Director, the host of the Morning Show, and sports
director at BIG COUNTRY 97.
Dave was born in Abilene, graduated from Abilene High School, and attended
McMurry College.
He has spent the majority of his career in and around the Abilene area... beginning
his radio career in 1976 as a play-by-play announcer and color analyst for McMurry
Indians football and basketball broadcasts on KNIT Radio in Abilene... then
becoming an on-air personality two years later at KWKC Radio in Abilene.
Dave has served in an on-air programming capacity at many radio stations,
including Country Gold KOES... Kicker 107... Oldies 98 KKHR... Country 99.7 KBCY...
Classic Country 106.3 KHXS... KEAN 105... KOOL 92... Sports Radio 1340 AM
KYYD... and The Sports Authority KGMM 1280 AM in Abilene... as well as serving as
an air personality, play-by-play announcer, and in an on-air programming capacity in
the Dallas-Fort Worth area... at Solid Gold 1140 AM KCLE in Cleburne and at Country
Gold 92.1 KTFW in Fort Worth.
In 2004, Dave returned to BIG COUNTRY 97, where he served as the program
director, on-air personality, and sports play-by-play announcer from 1981 to 1983,
and from 1987 to 1990.
Dave loves to play golf, camping, and cooking out on the grill. Plus, he is very active
in his church, and with the Cross Country Emmaus Community. Dave is also a
licensed and ordained minister, and is a clergy member in his Emmaus community.
Dave is married to his wife, Barbara. They have six children, fifteen grandchildren,
and three grand-dogs.
